Military Only - What is the HAP Program?

For military personnel who bought a home prior to July 2006 and now are looking at selling your home, there are plenty of options for you. Specifically, the Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP). HAP is administered by the US Army Corps of Engineers, and is available for all service men and women that are considering selling their home due to a permanent change of station (PCS) orders. There are however, several categories available to service personel where HAP may be appropriate for you to use, they are: - Permanent Change of Station (PCS)
- Warrior in Transition (for injured, forward deployed personnel)
- Surviving Spouse
- BRAC '05 (Base Realignment and Closing)
